Steenberg

Westlake
A parklands type course, Westlake is set under the Silvermine mountains and is characterised by a fairly open layout with wide fairways lined with shrubs and some huge trees. Clovelly
An undulating course set in a valley close to Fish Hoek, Clovelly consistently ranks as one of the finest courses in the Cape Town area. Milnerton
Milnerton Golf Course is a classic links course situated on the Atlantic coastline, a short distance from the Cape Town city centre. Tucked between the sea and the Rietvlei lagoon system, this flattish, open course boasts magnificent views of Table Mountain from across Table Bay. Atlantic Beach
A champioship links style course with fantastic views back towards Cape Town and Table Mountain, Atlantic Beach is set in a well conserved ‘fynbos’ area, and has been used as a qualifying venue for the British Open. Pearl Valley
Pearl Valley is a Jack Nicklaus designed course, surrounded by the Simonsberg and Drakenstein mountains. Bordered by vineyards and with the Berg River flowing through the course, water hazards come into play at many of the holes. De Zalze
De Zalze is a parklands course close to Stellenbosch, and is set amongst the rolling vineyards of Klein Zalze wine estate. The Blaauwklippen river winds its way through the estate, and together with other water features and some challenging fairway bunkers, make this course a good test for any golfer. Arabella
A Peter Matkovich designed course, Arabella is as a links / parklands combination, which was voted as top course in the Western Cape for 2008 ( Golf Digest 2008 ). Close to the coastal town of Hermanus, Arabella is set on the banks of the Bot river with wonderful views across the lagoon and the nearby Kogelberg mountains. Erinvale
Host to the 1996 World Cup and the 2003 and 2004 S.A Opens, Erinvale is situated on the outskirts of Somerset West and looks out onto the Helderberg and Hottentots Holland mountains. The course is close to some of the regions finest wine farms and also boasts great sea views from parts of the course. This is a Gary Player designed course and features two very distinct nines – the first being flatter and set amongst the housing estate, while the second moves onto the slopes of the Helderberg mountain. Boschenmeer is a 27 hole course designed by well known South African pro David Frost. It is a course of championship standard and will challenge players of all abilities. Stellenbosch
A Peter Matkovich designed course which has over the years hosted the SA Open and SA Masters. It is a parklands type course with relatively narrow tree lined fairways. Hermanus
Set in the coastal town of Hermanus, this course has mountains as a backdrop, and wonderful sea views from a number of points around the course. Tree lined fairways and indigenous ‘fynbos’ vegetation add to the beauty of the course. Hermanus is the main whale watching spot on the Cape coast and, from July through to November, this is an added attraction of heading out to this wonderful area for a round of golf. Pinnacle Point is situated close to Mossel Bay and is a Peter Matkovitch / Darren Clarke designed course. This is a spectacular course, stretching along a beautiful and rugged coastline. Simola

Goose Valley

Plettenberg Bay Country Club

Pezula
Pezula Estate golf course is a links course which hosted the womens Golf World Cup in February 2005. It offers breathtaking views of the Knysna Lagoon, surrounding forest, and the Indian Ocean. Fairways are planted to cool season grasses while tees and greens are all bentgrass. Many beautiful varieties of ‘fynbos’ are found in this area giving the course a Scottish heath look. Oubaai
Oubaai is an Ernie Els designed course at Herolds Bay, close to George on the Garden Route. It is a links course where wild indigenous grasses line the fairways and greens. Being a typical coastal course, wind can have a big impact on your round, and good course management is often crucial is shooting a reasonable score. Fancourt
